The purpose of this study was to review, compare, and analyze literature pertaining to multi-culture education and integration of Hakka culture into the instruction of the children’s games course using document analysis method. Through a case study, this study further discussed the design, learning process, and outcomes of a children’s games course integrated with Hakka culture. Results showed that integrating Hakka culture into the children’s games course not only increased the motivation and interest in learning children’s games among students of early childhood education and care studies but also enhanced their problem-solving abilities and learning outcomes. Besides, the teaching material also enabled both teachers and students to have better understanding of the unique Hakka culture, as a way to express respect and care for multi-culture education. |
