Approximating the conceptual demand relationships by a differential-form approach is used in modeling a complete demand system. In addition to avoiding any rigid assumption on the form of utility structure, the derived demand model is useful for empirical application inasmuch as the model is linear in parameters, which can be easily interpreted as demand elasticities or fiexibilities. |
