TRAINING EXTENSION WORKERS IN FARM MANAGEMENT TECHNIQUES

Farm management is generally considered to be one of the major fields of research in agricultural economics. The investigation and study of farm organization and management problems will provide not only information for farm management extension to improve operations on individual farms and businesses, but also the grass roots data upon which agricultural policy recommendations and agricultural development programing may be based. It is for this reason that agricultural administrative authorities, research institutes and extension agencies in many countries of the world have paid great attention to and placed emphasis on this subject. At the present time, we have many important problems relating to the utilization of agricultural land resources and. farm organization and management which require our attention and analysis in order to provide some guidance for future improvement.
