本研究以新竹林區管理處觀霧地區台灣樹林分為研究區域,探討經疏開林分後對林床種子發芽與小苗萌發的影響,進而探討天然下種更新的可行性。試驗係藉由疏伐作業改變林分環境,促進母樹開花結實與林地種子庫種子發芽與小苗生長。疏伐後林分內入射光量、紅光/遠紅光比與土壤溫度及日夜溫差均增加,且出現大量台灣樹小苗,而保留原本林分狀態的對照樣區則未發現小苗。因此利用疏伐作業可有效促進種子及苗木的萌發,進而達成天然下種更新。
This experiment was carried out at the field in Guanwu Forest Station of Hsinchu Forest District Office. The purposes of this study are using the stand thinning operation of Taiwan Sassafras to create an open environment to investigate the effect of this thinning method would induce the seeds germination and seedlings sprout. After thinning the stand, the irradiation energy, the red/farred light ratio and the soil temperature on forest floor are increased significantly. This environment changes after thinning the stand may induce the seed germination and seedling sprout from seed or seedling bank in soil. As the results of this study, using the thinning method to reach the stand regeneration by seeds of the Taiwan Sassafras forest should have a high possibility. |
