For 29-year-old Taiwan red cypress (Chamaecyparis formosensis Matsum.) trees and 33-year- old Japanese cedar (Cryptonieria japonica D. Don) trees allometric relationships describing tree height (H) with diameter at breast height (DBH), and tree volume (V) with both DBH and H, were establish. The sampled trees came from two thinning demonstration zones of Taiwan red cypress and Japanese cedar plantations in central Taiwan, respectively. Total seven tree height equations and six tree volume equations were used for fitting sampled trees of the two plantations, and were adopted the smallest Root mean squared error (RMSE) as a criterion for the selection the best equation. After building tree height and volume equations for the two plantations, volume stocking is estimated by the equations, for Taiwan red cypress is 271.8 m^3 ha^(-1) and that for the Japanese cedar is 561.0 m^3 ha^(-1), respectively. The results of this study also compared with same species in Taiwan, and will provide a region information for volume stocking of man-made forest.
本研究的目的旨在建立台灣中部地區紅檜及柳杉人工林之樹高曲線式及材積式,研究區域位於台灣中部地區之兩個疏伐示範區,分別為紅檜及柳杉人工林,並由該疏伐示範區中選取樣木進行分析,並建立樹高一胸高直徑及材積一樹高、胸高直徑等關係式,本研究採用7種樹高曲線式及6種材積式分別用以建立紅檜及柳杉之樹高曲線式及材積式,並採用RMSE最小者做為最佳模式的選擇標準。根據材積之推估結果,紅檜人工林為271.8立方公尺ha^(-1),;柳杉人工林為561.0立方公尺ha^(-1),本研究將所得之結果和台灣地區過去研究之相同樹種加以互相比較,此結果亦可提供人工林地區性研究之蓄積資料。 |
