Because Zhong-yi Pavilion is established after the incident of Zhu Yi-Gui in Qing Dynasty, the building has the duality for local worship and mainland worship by sacred space. So, not only appeasing residents, it has a high degree of political extension with mainland officials. Through the collation of historical documents, this paper attempts to find out the meanings of worship for mainland officials in the Pavilion, and to discuss the regional development by Liudui Hakka for the political factors. By the discussion of the duality for Zhong-yi Pavilion, three conclusions can be drawn: (1) The campaign has been definitely praised from Qing government, the tablet has a consistency between local worship and mainland worship. (2) The campaign has not been definitely praised, the building has only local worship in the inside. (3) It shows the specificity that Liudui residents express gratitude for the mainland officials, if it has only mainland worship tending to cultural education and transportation. |
