The central purpose of this study is to develop a driver and a controllerfor an electric control system for a dual power driving vehicle. Thesystem contains a brushless direct current (BLDC) motor driver, a lithiumiron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery charging system, a generator driver andan energy management system. In the electric control system, a digitalsignal processor (DSP) TMS320LF2407 is used to as the main controller. This study applies the electric control system for a LiFePO4-battery-basedparallel hybrid system and controls the vehicle’s operation modes. Thedevelopment of energy management strategy under load conditions is alsodiscussed. Moreover, after the construction of an experiment platform, real tests of the dual power functions of the electric control system wereconducted and predictions verified. |
