A newly developed non-touch system accompanied by digital camera technique and image processing in the present study can reduce the influence of testing apparatus on experimental results. In recent years the precision of digital technology has constantly risen and digital instruments measure deformation well. This system run by an auto computer program, can prevent reading errors originating from equipment operators and minimize running time. The results reveal that the system can measure better than conventional displacement gauges, and it has the advantage of replacing multiple-gauges and can use various direction measurements. After successfully applying the system slope measurement, further applications of the system will be more versatile and simpler. The testing results in the laboratory are in accordance with those of the flexural wall theory due to cyclic loading. |
