This paper is pointed to the tool life variation of tungsten carbide tools under the cumulative action of different cutting speeds. By using Taylors'tool life equation, the cumulative tool life equation is derived. According to the experimental results, it can be found that the tool flank wear variation under the cumulative action of different cutting speeds has the positive relation with the constant cutting speed. And it also found that the tool life of the tungsten carbide tools may be affected by the history of the cutting speed. |
