In this paper, a cyclic cracking model is proposed to model thebehavior of reinforced concrete structures under earthquake-like dynamicloading. This model has been implemented into a FE program (LUSAS)using the MMI (material model interface) facility to simulate reversed andcyclic loading. A shaking table test, performed at ETH of Switzerland, hasbeen chosen for comparison. The test performed on the shaking tablesimulated a wall of a 3-storey building. In this study, the finite elementmethod was used and the maximum tensile strength criterion was adopted. The results showed that the cyclic cracking model has reasonableagreement with the experimental results. |
