This paper took an overview of conservation workshops in Taiwan and surveyed three conservation workshops which were held from 2010 to 2012 at the National Science and Technology Museum. The results showed that these conservation workshops not only attracted people who have different skills and backgrounds to attend, but also helped them to equip relevant skills to do conservation works. Besides, the museum also benefitted from the participants' practical works on preserving objects which not only saved the costs of human resources, but also help the participated volunteers to have practical knowledge of conservation works. |
