They are the sole persons involved in both curriculum design and instruction. The provision of efficient teaching evaluation tools and feedback mechanism could help them to review their teaching results so that the entire quality of teaching could be enhanced. The aim of this study is to create a teaching quality scale for instructors of design departments in colleges and universities. Employing tools with reliability and validity could improve their teaching quality. This research includes four steps: 1. Experts were interviewed and their conclusions were listed in the scale; 2. The FDM was used to integrate their common views, while the inappropriate items were deleted; 3. EFA was applied to examine the construct validity of the scale and 4. CFA was used to verify its reliability and validity. In the study's results four facets in 19 items were found: professional teaching competence, teaching value, classroom interaction, and organization/clarity, respectively. |
