The purpose of this study was to (a) analyze the influence of paternalisticleadership and team cohesion of junior high school badminton players for gender, (b)identify the relationship between the paternalistic leadership and team cohesion ofjunior high school badminton players for gender. For questionnaires designed bythe author were utilized for data collection including (a) demographic informationsheet; (b) paternalistic leadership scale; (c) team cohesion scale. The study generalselected 578 badminton players from junior high school students in Taiwan assubject. From the survey returned, 540 were coded accounted of 93% in finalresponse rate. Product-moment correlation coefficient, multiple regression analysiswere computed for data analysis. The results indicated that :(a) Benevolentleadership and moral leadership had an obvious positive effect on team cohesion forjunior high school male and female badminton players.(b) The team cohesion couldbe predicted by the benevolent leadership and moral leadership for junior highschool male and female badminton players. (c) Increasing the number of day perweek in male babminton player’s perception training can improve both theInterpersonal attraction and Interpersonal attraction levels of cohesion. (d) Femalebabminton players to enhance their athletic performance to increase the perceptionof all levels of cohesion. |
