Rapid economic development is transforming cities into giant concrete jungles where it is difficult to experience the natural scenery. Color is important in the theory of living aesthetics. Hence, investigating the color of the city is essential to improve urban spatial quality. Based on the analytical results presented here, we can further improve urban planning content, enrich urban planning methods, and provide theoretical and systematic methods for urban color management, as well as apply color systems to various types and districts of a city, thus further shaping city characteristics.The main objective of this study is to investigate the effect of advertising signs on the color of the environment from the perspective of urban image. The research involves literature review, investigation of environmental color and color segregation. Furthermore, the findings of this study clarify the influence of environmental colors on urban image, and contribute to urban and landscape studies. |
