Public speaking is often the most feared part of a person’s life. Continual requirements necessitate that the teacher perform on the public stage. Public speaking presents numerous challenges, which arouse our anxieties. Yet, speaking in public allows us toshare our experiences and influence others. In this paper the authors discuss the importance of the audience-centered partnership in public speaking. Public speaking is a two-way process, where both the speaker and listener exchange messages and negotiate messages. The speaker aims for audience response by speaking directly with the audience. |
