Graphene is one of today’s popular material that commonly used as fillers incomposite materials. The dispersion of graphene has a great influence on the properties ofcomposite materials. It has been reported that the degree of dispersion of graphene can bemonitored by UV-Visible spectroscopy. In this work, UV-Vis is used to detect thedispersion of graphene.Surfactants are commonly used for the dispersion of graphene. In this study, we usethree different surfactants(SDS, SDSO, CTAB) to find how they affect the dispersion ofgraphene in aqueous solutions.The results show that the dispersion ability of graphene in the surfactant aqueoussolution can be listed in descending order: SDS>CTAB>SDSO. It is obvious that SDS isthe most effective one among them. The effect of the surfactants on the degree ofdispersion, such as the electrical properties of the hydrophilic end, will be discussed indetail in this article. |
