This paper is an inquiry into how social workers integrate gender perspectives intodaily women serviceprograms under the TaiwanGovernment's gender mainstreaming policy. Following the action research process, the author first reflects on this Women Services Program implementing process with social workers who work at a Women Service Center at a metropolitan city of Taiwan throughcollaborative dialogues. Secondly, the author represents the process of how these social workers integrate gender perspectives into this program, which follows the procedures as blow: 'New Program Emerging fromthe Old Program', 'Reconstructing the Images of women from structural perspective', 'connecting personal identity and lifewith experiences generating from the program', 're-constructing women’s’ personal experiences and subjectivity through program implementation', 'transforming women's subjectivities through the program'. Finally, the author, basing on the data presentation, reflects the significancesof this gender perspective social work efforts,and proposes suggestions for future actions. |
