‘Health management’ is a new term after the twenty-first century. It is raised under thecircumstances of economic development, medical advances, people’s living standards improvement,and paying attention to and demands for health improvement, and is a new concept of “prevention,precaution against illness” which is different from the traditional disease diagnosis and treatment.Therefore, health management should be subject to six major processes of inspection, evaluation,analysis, forecasting, planning, and implementation to achieve.In the global trend of rapidly increasing in elderly population, chronic diseases, demands onhealth management and care, according to the statistics of Industrial Economics & KnowledgeCenter, Industrial Technology Research Institute (IEK, ITRI), from 2002 to 2007, the annual rate ofthe global market size of the health services industry reached more than 30%. Consequently, topromote the health industry has become an important national development policy.This research through the exploration of literature, as well as the discussion of healthmanagement industry and its development, and then according to Bilderbeek (1998) to proposefour structures to analyze the innovative business model of The Royallife International Co., Ltd. asa case study, with a view for providing references to health industry innovators, academiccommunity and industry. |
