Museums bring the visitor face to face with information and displays, but sometimes the visitor may not completely understand what the display is trying to convey. This happens in science and technology museums just like in any other kind of museum. When this happens the visitor will grumble about not comprehending the content of the display or may complain that the display is too simplistic in its depiction of a scientific concept. If the National Science and Technology Museum could plan and develop several educational activities on its own that will give visitors something to work with other than the information in the main displays, such as guided explanations, demonstrations of scientific principles in action or hands-on activities related to these principles, it might be very helpful in getting visitors to understand more fully what is being presented in displays. |
