從逆境中突起—偏鄉學校學校本位課程變革的實例分享

A Case Study of School-based Curriculum Reform in a Rural Elementary School

近年來少子化風暴與家長學校選擇權意識高漲等挑戰造成偏鄉國民小學招生數不足的問題。本文旨在藉由描述一所偏鄉國民小學在生源不足及裁併校壓力之下，透過學校本位課程發展的變革歷程，探討實施背景、內外情境、願景建構、課程規劃實踐、以及因應策略，並進一步解析個案學校進行課程變革時遭遇的挑戰與助力，藉由發展優質學校本位課程，突破偏鄉學校困境，學生人數逆勢上揚，成為具有特色的學校，並減緩裁併校壓力。個案學校發展本位課程的經驗，可成為其他偏鄉小校發展學校本位課程的參考。

Coupled with the pressure of insufficient student enrollment and school mergence， the crisis of low birth rate and the rising awareness of parents’ school choice challenge the survival of many elementary schools in rural areas in Taiwan. The current study aimed to share the successful experiences of a rural elementary school in recruiting students and establishing school’s characteristics through the lens of school-based curriculum reform. Information such as the school background， the process of constructing vision， planning and implementation of the curriculum， barriers and limitations， as well as strategies to support the development of a quality school was discussed. This case study points a direction for other rural elementary schools to develop school-based curriculum.
