Anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibody-associated vasculitides (AAVs) are uncommon in Taiwan. AAVs are hard to be diagnosed due to variable initial clinical presentations. The disease courses are highly diverse and involve multiple organ systems; therefore treatment of AAV usually requires multidiscipline cooperation. Furthermore, treatment should be balanced between tight control of the diseases and minimization of complication caused by repeated and prolonged immunosuppressive therapies. The recommendations intend to provide concise diagnosis, treatment and follow-up suggestions as a reference for caring AAV patients, herein establishing a basis for continuous improvement of AAV prognosis. |
