Mortality in Rheumatoid Arthritis

分析本院從1987年至1995年間類風濕性關節炎病患死亡原因和性別、年紀的分佈情形。在全部19位死亡患者中，10位是由於感染導致，佔了死亡原因的大部份。分析這些案例，其死亡原因依序為呼吸道、泌尿道感染；惡性腫瘤，慢性肺部疾患，腎臟疾病，肝病和心臟血管疾病。

The retrospective study presents the causes of death and sex/age distribution of 19 patients with rheumatoid arthritis in our hospital from 1987 to 1995. Ten of the 19 deaths due to known causes were attributed to infection, a significantly excessive proportion. The mortality is associated in decreasing order with respiratory, urogenital infections, and with malignancy, chronic pulmonary disease, renal disease, liver disease and cardiovascular disease.
