正常人與風濕性關節炎病人的周邊白血球產生白三烯素B4的比較

Leukotriene B4 Production By Peripheral Blood Leukocytes from the Normals and Patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis

類風濕性關節炎與正常人的周邊白血球（多形核及單核白血球），經鈣離子促進劑A23187作用後，產生白三烯素B4。這四組細胞所產生的白三烯素B4的量，以類風濕性關節炎病人的多形核白血球所產生的最少(p< 0.001)，其他三組細胞未呈有意義的差異。至於類風濕性關節炎病人的多形核白血球產生較少的白三烯素B4的原因，文中有所討論。

Peripheral polymorphonuclear leukocytes (PMN) from patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) following stimulaion with calcium ionophore A23187, produced significantly less LTB4 than cells from normal controls (p< 0.001). LTB4 production by monouuclear leukocytes (MNC) was not significantly different in both groups. In RA patients, the LTB4 production was much less in PMN than in MNC (p< 0.001). However, in the normal controls, there was no significant difference between PMN and MNC. The reason for the depressed LTB4 production of PMN in RA patients is discussed.
