骨性關節炎滑膜液之Alizarin Red S染色與電子顯微鏡的研究

The Alizarin Red S Stain and Electron Microscopic (EM) Studies of Osteoarthritic Synovial Effusion

Apatite及ca1cium pyrophosphate dihydrate(CPPD)晶體可在某些非發炎性關節液內發現。在本篇研究報告中，我們使用alizarin red S染液與電子顯微鏡 方法希望從8個骨性關節炎滑膜液中找尋上述二種晶體。本實驗的結果顯示：雖然7個關節液中有陽性alizarian red S反應，但電子顯微鏡卻無法發現上述任何的晶體。

Apatite or calcium pyrophosphate crystals (CPPD) were found in some joint effusions of noninflammatory arthritis. In this report, both alizarin red S staining and EM examination were done, hoping to detect these 2 crystals in our 8 osteoarthritic joint fluids. Our result was contradictory to the other report since there were no crystals could be seen in 8 joint fluids on EM examination despite the presence of positive alizarin red S staining in 7 of 8 cases.
