Although the modern convenience store brings a number of benefits that advance the shopping experiences for the general, the hypermarket is an important alternative which provides diverse and relatively inexpensive goods. However, people shopping in the hypermarket face various practical matters hard to be solved, such as spending lots of time in the waiting queue, difficult to search the goods to be purchased, i.e., like looking for a needle in a haystack. This paper introduces a rapid settlement information system designed and implemented by using creation-thinking methods and system development approaches. With the operation of the novel functions related to 2D Barcode enabled shopping process management, collaborative-filtering supported real-time posting message, and information security based registered electronic invoice. The consumers shopping in the hypermarket can have better shopping experience, so that increase their motivation to purchase goods in the hypermarket. In addition, the owners of the hypermarket can reduce the headcounts of the employees and increase their turnover as well. With the support of the proposed information system, both the consumers and the hypermarket owners can thus achieve a win-win result in a new business model. |
