Wine is one of the alcoholic beverages that modern people often contact. However, even the best wine needs elegant wine goblet to carry in order to achieve the double enjoyment of vision and taste. This study, based on the theory of Kansei Engineering, explores relationship between goblet shapes and Kansei words. In the beginning, we extensively collected goblet images and Kansei words. Then, we used KJ method to select 40 pictures and 6 representative Kansei words. We used graphic software to redraw goblet samples and to define 10 coordinates for contour curves of 2D goblets. On the other hand, we defined the ratios of each part for goblets, including (1) mouth width: body width, (2) body height: foot height, (3) bottom width: mouth width. Finally, we used multiple regression analysis to find out (1) the relationship between the ratio of each part for goblets and 6 Kansei words; (2) the relationship between 10 coordinates for contour curves of 2D goblets and 6 Kansei words. When the width of the goblet mouth is larger than the width of the goblet bottom, people will feel more 'reliable'; When the height of the goblet stem is larger than the height of the goblet body, people will feel more 'valuable'. |
