Jiandeng Xinyu, inherited the spirit of Tang novels and impelled the occurrence of LiaoJhaiJhihYi, had an magnificent influence on the development of Tang's and Qing's novels and operas. It was also popular in Korea, Japan, and Vietnam. There are two common noted versions of Jiandeng Xinyu. The first one, Jiandeng Xinyu Jyu Jie, is the earliest edition. The other is Jhou Lnng-Cie's version. The article is based on Jhou's edition and focus on collate state, the dispute of JiMeiJi and textual criticism. It hopes to support a solid foundation for further research of Jiandeng Xinyu. |
