The practical procedure is different from art objects. We need to consider the characteristic of the cultural role and hope them were partially workable after museum collects. Thus, the research represents the conservation and partial restoration of one large technical object, namely the Chung –Shing Textile Co. Tompkin's knitting machine, was executed. The whole restoration project involved the collection condition recording, scientific analysis of the coating and residue on the surface, and public display plan in the near future. |
