“Managing the organizational knowledge” has been identified as one of the important factors to improve competitive advantages in the knowledge economic era. The core of knowledge management aims to help organizational members accumulating, creating, applying, sharing and distributing their knowledge by the help of internet and information technology. Knowledge management covers two perspectives of problems including technical and managerial problems. Technical problems refer to information technology and information systems applications such as data searching technology and knowledge base applications. Furthermore, managerial problems refer to the organizational issues such as the executive strategies, organizational change and stakeholders’ perceptions. To implement knowledge management successfully, above two perspectives of problems must be handled effectively. In this study, we review and analyze the literatures related to knowledge management, and then we propose an integrated framework for strategic knowledge management. This paper provides a valuable reference for business managers or strategic planners who are initiating or conducting knowledge management activities in the e-business era, and for researchers interested in knowledge management. |
