In 2012, there were 12,338 tuberculosis cases (53.0 cases per 100,000 population). Using the case number in year of 2005 as base for comparing changes in incidence rates, the number of cases fell 25.1% and the incidence rate fell 26.8% between 2005 and 2012. Between 2005 and 2012, TB incidence in all cities and counties declined, except for Kinmen County and Penghu County, which revealed a rising trend. |
