On the Importance of Using Examples in Interpreting Excavated Materials

本文首先列舉二例，點出應用文例的互較，作為判斷傳世甲骨真偽的可 靠標準，並就安徽大學何琳儀教授〈說麗〉一文所徵引的甲骨，強調學界應 小心引用新檢獲的民間材料，以避免立論失實。

In the first part of this article, the author uses two examples to illustrate how they can be used and compared in deciding the authenticity of the Oracle-bone. The second part of this article uses the examples of oracle-bone inscriptions cited by Professor Ho Linyi's article, “On Li,” to further illustrate how academic investigation should be careful in using newly acquired materials from common origin.
