志工、活動與地方認同 ——2009高雄世運為例

Volunteer, Event and Place Identity --A Case Study of 2009 World Game in Kaohsiung

地方認同，一直是個有趣的地理議題，人們與地方互動關係之建立，最直 接方式即爲透過活動做爲平臺。本研究試圖透過活動作爲參與平臺，以活動志 工當作研究對象，其參與過程之感受作爲内容，進行地方認同建構研究之觀察 主軸。 2009年於高雄市所舉辦之「世界運動會」爲國際重要的運動賽事之一，同 時也是臺灣參與國際事務重要的平臺，因而賽事舉辦成功與否對於高雄市民甚 至於臺灣全國民衆而言，有著極高的期待。活動舉辦過程中，需要大量的人力 支援協助處理賽事相關工作，因而，志工即成爲最重要的活動參與能量，同時 也是參與活動最深入的一群。本研究以質性方法作爲研究取徑，將高雄世運作 爲對於高雄地方認同形塑之平臺，透過加入世運志工方式，由局内人角色進行 參與觀察，並透過深度訪談釐清世運志工對於高雄之地方認同如何建構，及其 所引伸對於高雄認同之相關議題。 研究結果發現，參與高雄世運的志工，無論其是否曾擔任過志工或參與公 共事務，於世運落幕後對於高雄的地方認同提高，且對於高雄環境相關事務之 關心與參與程度亦有所提升。

Place identity is an interesting geographical issue. The direct way to build the Man-Land relationship is holding event as the platform. This study attempts to research the construction of place identity by the volunteers in the 2009 World Game in Kaohsiung. 2009 World Game was an important international sport game which was held in Kaohsiung and it was an important platform to join the international affairs for Taiwan. So the citizens in Kaohsiung were looking forward to the success of the World Game. The volunteers were the most important resource who supported to deal with the complex affairs during the World Game and they were the major participants. The study attempts to realize the construction of place identity and the relative issue about Kaohsiung by the volunteers of the 2009 World Game in Kaohsiung in qualitative method. The researcher plays the insider role by join the World Game volunteer to participant observation and interviews the volunteers. This study finds that the volunteers enhance the place identity and pay more attention to the public affairs for Kaohsiung after the 2009 World Game in Kaohsiung.
