The NCL has consistently exerted efforts in promoting international Chinese Studies. Having a long cooperation record with the Trend Educational Foundation, the latter donated a ScanRobot to the NCL. The most important intention of this offer is to expand the influence of the traditional Chinese characters on the internet and gain the upper hand in the interpretation right of Chinese Studies.
