To announce the successful completion of its project to improve the use of e-books for the visually impaired, National Taiwan Library held a press conference on December 18. It revealed its newly developed app: Audio for the Visually Impaired. It also recognized publishers YLib, Linking Books, and Puomo, as well as the National Museum of Taiwan Literature and New Taipei City’s Cultural Affairs Department for donating e-book files. Awards were also given to five finalists and one honorable mention in this year’s Visual and Hearing Impaired Outstanding Thesis and Dissertation Award. |
