Kaohsiung Public Library provides an internet book reservation service linking all 3.5 million publications at the library's 60 greater Kaohsiung branches into a single giant collection. The service is available to all Kaohsiung City residents, even in remote areas, providing readers with seamless book borrowing service. Readers can apply for books online, in-person at a library, or by phone, fax or e-mail and pick up requested books at their branch of choice within five days. The library also sends an e-mail notice to reader to pick up the requested books within five days, offering a whole new level of convenience.
