The Center for Chinese Studies (CCS) celebrated its 30th anniversary at the thirdfloor International Conference Room of the National Central Library at 3:00 p.m. on October 13, 2011. During the celebration, a video documenting the achievements of the CCS over the past three decades was presented. The backdrop for the conference room stage consisted of a two-part scroll reading 'Continuing the Legacy of Letters' and 'Moving the World with Sinology.' Although President Ma Ying-jeou was unable to personally attend the celebration, he sent a congratulatory message lauding the CCS for its contributions to promotion of Sinology over the past 30 years. |
