The Luzhou City Children's Library in Taipei County officially opened on August 9. The first library of its kind in Luzhou, the new facility is stocked with 30,000 books. The library has an open stack area, comic area, newspaper and periodical area, family book area, toy area, audio-visual area, and internet area. The local village chief plans to introduce a storytelling program staffed by volunteer moms to encourage children in the community to read. |
