The National Central Library (NCL) and Southern Taiwan University (STU) jointly organized an exhibition on the theme of Australia. 'Australia as a Subject-Cooperative Exhibition of the Libraries' Collection and Resources' opened on August 12 with a ceremony joined by STU President Tai Chein, Representative Alice Cawte of the Australian Commerce and Industry Office, Taipei (ACIO), Ms Cherry Hu of ACIO, STU Library head Emily Yang, Kao Yuan University President Tseng Tsahn-deng, Cheng Shiu University Vice President He Ching-chuan, Wenzao Ursuline College of Languages Library head Wang Yu-wen, and other guests. STU students livened up the ceremony with an Australian music and dance performance.
