VISITORS

1. April 20: Seven professors from mainland China, Japan and Korea attended a seminar on Chinese etymology at Fujen Catholic University and were guided by Li Tian-fu, director of the university's Chinese Department, on a visit to the NCL. 2. April 23: Huang-pan Ming-chu and Liu Li-chih, directors, respectively, of the Technology and Planning Department and Cataloging Department at Chinese University of Hong Kong Library visited the NCL to learn about Chinese name authority file databases and inspect the Reference Department's full-text image system on contemporary literature and historical materials. 3. May 7: A group of 23 librarians from the National Library of Korea visit to learn about reader services and management. 4. May 18: Visit by Kevin Latham, director of the Joeten-Kiyu Library in Saipan, U.S.A. 5. May 19: Online Computer Library Center (OCLC) President and CEO Jay Jordon and Asia-Pacific Regional President Wang Hsing-jen visited the NCL and hosted a lecture and discussion.
