Government Recognizes Publishing Service Excellence

The Executive Yuan held the first awards ceremony for government publishing services on August 28, 2002. The ceremony was presided by Premier Yu Shyi-kun (游錫堃), who expressed hope that the research results and policy achievements of government agencies can be made more publicly accessible in published form. He also urged agencies to improve the quality of their publications and strengthen cooperation with the private sector to promote the development of the publishing industry in Taiwan. Awards for “Publishing Service” and “Outstanding Government Publications” were presented at the ceremony. Eligible recipients included all central and local government agencies.
