Library and Information Science Technology Seminar Series

A two-part seminar series on Library and Information Science Technology was held at the NCL in the spring and summer of 2002 under sponsorship of the Library Association of China and the NCL. The first seminar, “E-Libraries, Security and Service Integration,” kicked off on May 29. The day was opened with a speech by Prof. Chen Chao-chen (陳昭珍) of National Taiwan Normal University. Topics discussed included “Prospects for the Integration of Libraries and Digital Services” by Transtech vice president Tseng Jen-tai (曾仁泰); “Digital Content Processing and Technological Deployment” by Ulead product manager Liu Shu-jung (劉淑蓉); “Storage, Operations, and Management Security Policies” by ISS Taiwan’s Dr. Fan Kuo-chen (樊國楨); and “E-Reading, Learning and Copyright Development” by Cwave CEO Wang Feng-chang (王豐昌).
