NCL Promotes National Online Thesis Service

NCL Promotes National Online Thesis Service Beginning this year, the Ministry of Education will require graduate and doctoral students in the ROC to submit abstracts of their theses as a condition for graduation. It will also promote the online publishing of full-text theses. In order to introduce the new measures and added functions of the online thesis system, the NCL held a series of workshops across Taiwan. Between March 16 and 31, a total of 13 workshops were held, including sessions in Taipei, Taichung, Tainan, Hsinchu, and Kaohsiung. The library also published a revised version of the “Handbook on Preparing Files for the National Online Thesis Abstract System.” The handbook, which was sent to colleges and universities across the island, provides a reference for faculty, department administrators, and graduate students on preparation of theses for online publication, copyright authorization, and other related issues.
