The Center for Chinese Studies kicked off the new year with a series of seminars featuring guest speakers from leading universities in Japan and Korea.
On January 28, Mr. Sae-Bong Ha, a researcher at the Institute of International Studies at Pusan National University spoke on the topic, 'East Asian Cities Regions and Cities in the 1930s from the Perspective of Trade Statistics.' The seminar was hosted by Mr. Chih-kuo Cheng (程哲國) of the Intellectual Property Rights Bureau under the Ministry of Economic Affairs.
On February 11 seminar, Mr. Sin Ju Back, a researcher at the Institute of Eastern Culture at the University of Tokyo in Japan, spoke on the topic, 'The Status and Function of the Korean Army in Korea During the Colonial Period in the 1910s.' The seminar was hosted by Prof. Shu-min Chung (鍾淑敏), director of the planning office of Academia Sinica's Institute of Taiwan History. |
