巿售眼藥水 Zinc Sulfate 之含量調查

INVESTIGATION ON THE CONTENT OF ZINC SULFATE IN OPTHALMIC SOLUTIONS.

市售眼藥水種類繁多，而含有硫酸鋅或乳酸鋅成分之眼藥水為數不少。鋅鹽之應用於眼藥水係因其具有收斂、組織修復作用，促進創傷治癒；故可用以治療結膜炎、眼瞼炎與角膜潰瘍等。同時，鋅鹽之使用量關係著眼藥水之滲透壓，滲透壓過高過低均會刺激眼睛，故此類眼藥水中鋅鹽之含量測定為確定其品質之重要項目。遂於七十五年八月起至七十六年四月在台灣地區抽購各廠牌之眼藥水計九十八件檢體，以進行含量調查。所抽購之檢體，涵蓋十七個廠家，二十種品牌，其中國產計九家四十件，輸入計八家五十八件。先以 USPXXI 化學法鑑定鋅鹽之存在，再以原子吸光光度法測定鋅鹽之含量。

The purpose of this investigation is to survey the content of Zinc sulfate in Opthalmic solutions. Ninety-eight Samples were purchased randomly from drugstores in Taiwan area from August, 1986 to April, 1987. All samples were identified according to the method described in the USPXXI and assayed by using the atomic absorption method. The results indicate that out of 98 samples, 6 (6.1%) could not meet the regulation requirement- 90.0 to 110.0% of the labelled amount.
