The purpose of this experiment is to compare the 'Investigation method for residual amount of medicine in food' announced by Department of Health, Executive Yuan, and 'Fast screen test in analysis of residual sulfadrug in meat'. First we compared their differences by using 2 thin layer chromatorgraphy methods, then recovery experiments according to standards for residual medicine in animals, 0.1 ppm, and measurements for the rate of recovery using HPLC method were used. The results show that the rates of recovery for the two methods are 80.2%, 59.9%, respecitively. 70 meat samples purchased randomly from Kaohsiung markets in Nov .1994 were analyzed. According to the two thin layer chromatography methods mentioned above. Three of the samples showed pos itive In Sulfamethazine residue analysis by both methods with amounts ranging between 0.46 ppm and 0.70 ppm as measured by HPLC. And the others showed negative results for both in vestigation methods. |
