Investigation of soy souce was carried out on November 1986 and DEC 1986, 351 samples were obtained randomly with the help of food inspectors of local Health Bureau. Preservatives were analyzed with thin layer chromatography and gas chromatography, and Sweeteners paper chromatography and gas chromatography and high performance liguid chromatography. Results showed 10.3% of samples did not meet the regulatory requirement, of which illegal addition of sweeteners was the major factor. |
