市售棉花、紗布、衛生棉塞螢光物質之品質調查報告

AN INVESTIGATION ON FLUORESCENCE OF COTTON, COTTON STICK, GAUZE, BANDAGE AND TAMPOJ IN TAIWAN AREA

為了解市售棉花、紗布、衛生棉塞添加螢光增白劑之情形，本局於民國八十二年七月至八十三年六月間，就臺灣全省各地區抽購檢體共五十二件，依行政院衛生署公告棉花、衛生棉塞及紗布等衛生材料類製品之螢光物質檢測標準及British Pharmacopeia 1988年版所載之方法，對各檢體進行螢光物質測試。所得結果，共有三件檢體檢出螢光物質，不合格率相當於5.8%，與民國八十年品質調查報告所得產品不合格率4.0%大致相當，顯示近三年來，本類產品品質並無顯著改變。

52 samples of commercial cotton, cotton stick, gauze, bandage and tampon were purchased within different counties of Taiwan area during a period from July 1993 to June 1994. Fluorescence tests were performed by using the method described in the British Pharmacopeia (1988 edition). Am g the total samples investigated, only (5.8%) showed an intense blue fluorescence which does not comply with the accepted regulation.
