《武經總要》纂修體例初考

《武經總要》作為中國古代第一部官修軍事百科全書，纂修體例頗具特色。它以《太白陰經》、《虎鈐經》等書為基礎進行完善，凡四十卷，五十餘萬字。全書設置比較全面，涵蓋內容豐富；從理論到實踐，由主及次，由古至今，層次分明，條理清晰，邏輯性較強；結構設置精當，不但三級目錄清晰，各條目命名亦均較為精確，所轄內容比較妥當、細密；圖文並茂，以圖釋文，便於讀者理解。因此，該書的纂修體例與所列浩繁資料是相適應的，總體上是比較完備的，在中國古代兵學編纂史上佔有重要地位。

As the first comprehensive official military encyclopedia, the compilation style of Wujing zongyao 武經總要 is quite distinctive. Comprising 50 million characters in 40 volumes, it is a work based on Tai bai yin jing 太白陰經, Hu qian jing 虎鈐經 and other books, and is wide in scope and rich in content. It is arranged quite logically, from theory to practice, from main to sub-categories, and from old to new entries, each level clearly demarcated and presented in an orderly way. The structure is simple but appropriate: the three levels of the catalogue are distinct and the names of entries comparatively precise. The content under each entry is appropriate and detailed, and includes illustrations serving to make the text more easily comprehensible. The style of the book is perfectly suited to presenting a huge amount of information, and overall it occupies an important place in the history of compilation of works of military science.
