《佛說阿彌陀經》之與會眾的宗教蘊涵探析

本文所欲探究的問題向度是《佛說阿彌陀經》中與會聖眾的內涵意義。本文嘗試從經文中所列舉之與會凡聖諸眾及其列序與四位等覺位的菩薩眾等向度觀察到幾點意義：一、就與會諸眾之意義而言，淨土法門所披根機，可真謂是三根普被，凡聖齊收。二、就聲聞眾、菩薩眾、天人眾的列序而言，出家眾在法會中的地位是優先的。而職司外護的在家眾，是請法護法並讓法會圓滿的大功德主，卻位居列眾之後，這就象徵著利他的捨己為人。因此，這就涵蘊著淨土法門是捨己為人利他之法門。三、就與會的菩薩眾而言，經文中列舉的四位菩薩，文殊師利菩薩、阿逸多菩薩、乾陀訶提菩薩與常精進菩薩，皆是位列等覺之候補佛，一皆以速疾究竟嚴淨佛土為要，今舉此四位等覺位菩薩，實即表示著，彌陀淨土法門乃為一生竟成佛之法門；同時也是方便速疾能究竟嚴淨佛土之法門。同時，菩薩眾之名相，亦涵具著往生西方極樂淨土的條件，需具足信願持名。至於文殊菩薩與彌勒菩薩列前，這就表示著「信願」為往生之前行；而「乾陀訶提菩薩」與「常精進菩薩」列後，其表示著往生之正修在於精進念佛。然而所謂的「信」是實智之「深信」，而「願」，則是無量菩提悲心之「大願」，「行」則是勇猛精進，二六時中一向專念之「大行」。
