This paper focusing on the Shi Men Qiu Zheng Du (師門求正牘), a learning record for Zhi-Dao Guan(管志道) discussions with his teacher, Ding-Xiang Geng(耿定向), reasserts that Geng and Guan adhere to the "Everything Grow Together" and "Principles Run Parallel" of Zhongyong (中庸) as the spirit of academic purpose: Guan integrated the three teachings of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism by Confucius Yi Zhuan(易傳), stressed that "Learning for Oneself" of "Being Retired Has No Worry, Meditation Has No Boring" could face self sincerely and respect for others, carded the similarities and differences between the three teachings by the points "Principles Is Not Incompatible, Teaching Is Not To Abuse" and "Circle for the Core ideas, Square for the Rules", and afforded that three teachings the same status by the viewpoint of "Any Dragon as the Leader". |
